A learning exchange to Tullibody Community Garden. A tour, lunch and chance to learn from this Clacks based award-winning community hub
We’ll visit Tullibody Community Garden to hear about their work in the community and how volunteers drive what they do .
We’ll learn what volunteers bring to - and what they get out of - the garden, the range of activities that have been delivered there and we’ll learn about ways they engage, organise and work with their community of volunteers for shared positive outcomes.
This site visit is for Falkirk residents growing food in community spaces, whether new or well established, as well as for those with plans to start a garden to grow food together with their community in the future.
It will be of particular interest to anyone thinking about how to:
-Recruit, engage, train and mentor volunteers
-Fund outreach or community education projects
-Help pollinator and nature corridors
-Start cooking classes, or a plant sale stall
-Reduce social isolation and support mental and physical health
Lunch is included.
We’ll meet at the gate before being taken on a tour of the space. Our host will share learnings from past and present activity and the challenges they’ve overcome. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and chat more informally and to connect with others over a buffet lunch.
