Grey Box Day 2025

Hi there nature lovers 🌳🌿🌱👏

We are pleased to announce that Grey Box Day 2025 is happening again this year!

When: Sunday, the 4th of May, from 10AM - 4PM, @State Flora in Belair National Park.

On the day, there will be community groups to inform and educate the local community on local plant species and communities.

At this community event, there is a sale of 20 native plant 🌱🌱🌱species that occur in the Grey Box Ecological community, which will be available at a subsidized cost.

At 10:30am there will be a welcome to Country ⛰️, by Kaurna Elder Robert Taylor.

At 11am, 12:30pm and 2pm, Native Bee 🐝🐝Workshops will be held, by Bee expert Dr Katja Hogendoorn!

Lizard expert 🦎🦎Dr Mike Gardner will be there with an actual lizard to show you!

There will be face painting 🦄 for the little ones throughout the day.

There will be live music 🎶🎵🎼 by the @the Fiddle Chicks, a sausage sizzle🌭🌭 , coffee ☕🍵, nibbles 🍰🧁and more 🤩
