Moose River Mining Disaster - 89th Anniversary Event

This year marks the 89th anniversary of the 1936 Moose River Mining Disaster. The Moose River Gold Mine Museum Society invites you to join them and pay tribute to the historical rescue.

Please join us from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 6752 Moose River Road. Guests will have the opportunity to visit the museum and provincial park, participate in wireless emergency communication demonstrations, and enjoy free coffee, tea, and home-made doughnuts.

In partnership with The Salvation Army and the Halifax Amateur Radio Club.
