Free Advance Care Planning Appointments at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital

Who will make medical decisions for you if you can’t speak for yourself? Many people don’t realize that Wisconsin and Michigan are not next-of-kin states, meaning that spouses, adult children, or other family members are not automatically authorized to make decisions on your behalf. That’s why all adults should complete an Advance Directive—a document that ensures your wishes are honored and designates a trusted person as your Power of Attorney for Healthcare.

Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital is offering free Advance Care Planning appointments to help you complete or update your Advance Directive. During your appointment, a trained facilitator will guide you through the process, answer your questions, and ensure your document is properly recorded.
