Join the Portage County Historical Society and District 1 Brewing as we raise a glass to one of Stevens Point’s most beloved musicians – Norm Dombrowski!
The newest beer in our Historic Hometown Series, Dombrowski’s Pivo, is a Polish-style lager brewed in honor of the local polka legend who brought joy to generations with his energetic “honky style” polka. Norm’s talent took him far beyond Stevens Point, with performances at the Smithsonian Institution and Wisconsin’s Sesquicentennial celebrations, but he never stopped making hometown audiences smile.
🎶 What to Expect:
6:00 p.m. – Beer release & live music from the Happy Notes, now led by Norm’s son, Mark Dombrowski
6:30 p.m. – A short program about Norm’s life and musical legacy presented by PCHS
More polka from the Happy Notes to keep the party going after the program!
