The Magic Flute: A Musical Adventure!

Join us for a FREE to the public matinée of "The Magic Flute: A Musical Adventure" performed by the talented music students of the UWSP Opera Workshop & the UWSP College of Fine Arts & Communication.

Through the timeless music of Mozart, The Magic Flute: A Musical Adventure brings to life a tale of courage, perseverance, and the pursuit of love and happiness. This community outreach production was created with the goal of fostering a sense of creativity, community-mindedness, and adaptability in our students. It provides UWSP students—many of whom are aspiring music educators—a unique opportunity to sing, direct, write, teach, and engage directly with young audiences.

Our primary mission is to make opera accessible to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience classical music. By bringing this production to our community, we aim to spark a love for music and introduce a new generation to the magic of opera, offering many their very first operatic experience.

The Magic Flute: A Musical Adventure! is an extension of the UWSP Opera Workshop, which is also staging a full-length performance of Mozart’s opera alongside the UWSP Symphony Orchestra in Michelsen Hall on April 10th and 13th.
