Memorial Day Ceremony & Parade

The City of Sterling Heights and its Arts Commission will host the 46th Annual Sterling Heights Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26.

This year's theme is "We Are One: Honoring Our Past, Uniting Our Future." The ceremony will feature remarks from our 2025 Grand Marshal John "Jack" Jones, Mayor Michael C. Taylor, and Arts Commission Chairperson Jeanne Schabath-Lewis.

Memorial Day activities begin promptly at 9 a.m. in the City Center Courtyard between City Hall and the Police Station as hundreds gather for a solemn tribute to all veterans who died in the line of duty. At 10 a.m., the parade kicks off and proceeds south on Dodge Park Road.
