🎼 SICMF 2025 – Festival Concert Orchestra

Michael Repper, Grammy Award-winning conductor and a favourite from last year’s festival, returns to lead the Festival Concert Orchestra in this celebratory penultimate concert of SICMF 2025.

The programme opens with Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture — a dramatic and tightly woven work full of tension and drive.

Celebrated cellist Maja Bogdanović then takes the spotlight in Saint-Saëns’s Cello Concerto No. 1 — a virtuosic and emotionally rich piece she recently recorded with the RTS Symphony Orchestra to wide critical acclaim.

The evening ends in the vibrant world of French theatre music with Bizet’s L’Arlésienne Suites No. 1 & 2, conducted with flair and colour by Repper and performed by the full Festival Concert Orchestra.

A fitting close to the faculty performance series — poised between tradition, brilliance, and celebration.
