Lower Hack

Join us this coming Saturday for a lower hack, where we will target Hakea salicifolia, whose seeds are similar to the Hakea sericea found on the upper mountain slopes. If there is time and capacity, we could also work on some Port Jacksons and Wattles in the area.


We meet as usual at the Paradyskloof main gate on Saturday 21 June 2025 at 8:00.

This is a short and easy walk away from the main gate.

So far, we do not expect any rain on Saturday with temperatures between 9°C and 17°C, so bring something warm and maybe a rain jacket, just in case.


Other details on what to bring along can be found in the the Lower Hack section of https://fsmountain.org/hacks.html, but as usual FSM will supply the necessary equipment including gloves. Do bring sunglasses or clear glasses to protect your eyes as some places have dense undergrowth.
