PRESENTER BIOS:
Matthew Kruger has over 25 years experience in forefront Brand, PR & Advertising industries. He is also an expert in social media strategy, brand architecture, event management and strategic management consulting. He has diplomas in Creative Graphic Design & Idea Engineering. He has worked in non-profit and wine-industry related facilitation and training as well as running Youth Leadership Development programmes. Matt has worked with large brands such as Mercedes Benz, IEC, Lesedi FM, the University of the Free State, and others. He disposes over a wealth of practical, creative and strategic experience and is passionate about leadership development and helping organisations reach their full potential.
Lisa Thompson Smeddle, holds Master’s and Honours degrees in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University, and an Honours degree in Social Sciences from Chapman University in California. She is the Director of the USA and RSA registered Sustainable Development Network & African Sustainability Academy. She has 30 years’ experience working in the non-profit and donor sector in southern Africa. She acted as sustainability advisor to Family Health International (FHI360), an Umbrella Grants Mechanism managing a $93million USAID/PEPFAR grant in South Africa. Lisa was also the Programme Coordinator and a course designer/lecturer at the Sustainability Institute / Stellenbosch University. She has worked as a consultant with international, African and South African aid and government agencies, Universities and more.
