Terran Sunday Movie Night

Terran's Sunday Movie Night meets this Sunday for a BONUS meeting, where we will watch Celine Sciamma's "Portrait of a Lady on Fire." This 2019 film, set in France during the late 18th century, tells the story of an artist and her subject, whose meeting would fit in among the great tragedies. Guests should arrive around 18:00, with lights going down at 18:20. There will be a brief presentation, and then a discussion will be held. As always, popcorn will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring any other snacks or drinks they might desire.

"Portrait of a Lady on Fire" released to international acclaim in 2019, and has recently been recognized as one of the 100 most important films released so far this century. The film is thought provoking and lusciously shot, and is focused intensely on themes of love, memory, and individual perspective. This film won the "Second Chances" contest, and is absolutely deserving of viewing at the club. This picture is incredible, and I think the discussion this week will be particularly interesting.
