Join us for a one-day, live-fire training course designed to build the foundational skills every armed protector needs. Hosted by Mining Ridge Armory, Protector Pistol I: Core Combat Pistol focuses on developing practical pistolcraft and transforming advanced techniques into tactical advantages. Through structured drills, movement-based training, and stress-performance coaching, you’ll learn to draw, move, communicate, and engage with purpose—all within the framework of North Carolina’s legal use-of-force standards.

🎯 Training Objectives
Draw and engage from concealment or duty carry
Apply one- and two-handed shooting techniques
Execute reloads and clear malfunctions under pressure
Move efficiently while seeking cover or creating space
Operate from unconventional or compromised positions
Integrate pistol skills into everyday carry tactics
🎒 Gear Requirements
A teachable mindset and readiness to train
Notepad and pen
Reliable semi-automatic handgun
Secure, high-quality holster (no Serpas or soft nylon; EDC preferred)
Minimum of 2 magazines and 1 magazine pouch
300+ rounds of factory ammunition
Eye and ear protection
Supportive gun belt (e.g., Kore Essentials or equivalent)
Durable, weather-appropriate clothing (expect groundwork; consider expendable “burner” clothing)
Sunscreen and hat
Bug repellent
Optional: knee pads (recommended for gravel/rough surfaces)
Snacks, food, and hydration (water and/or electrolyte drinks)
Prior handgun experience required (not a beginner-level course)
