🦅 NRA Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO)

This course is built for experienced NRA Range Safety Officers who already understand the job and want to move into range leadership and instructor roles.
Over an intensive few days of training, you’ll:
- Review the goal and structure of the NRA CRSO course.
- Examine the NRA Basic RSO Course outline and lesson plans from the instructor’s perspective.
- Work through the development and refinement of Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Practice teaching key sections of the Basic RSO Course.
- Discuss supervising and mentoring RSOs on busy ranges.
- Complete the open-book CRSO exam and learn how to finalize your credential.
📌 Prerequisites (Required):
- Age 21 or older.
- Current NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) certification (or proof of course enrollment in series as part of the CRSO track).
- NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) completed within the last 2 years (or proof of course enrollment in series as part of the CRSO track).
- Ability to provide proof of both certifications to

💵 Tuition: $120 - $440 per instructor candidate (see below).

- Your RSO and BIT certificates (if applicable).
- Notebook, pen, highlighter.
- Any range SOPs or policies you currently manage.
- Laptop/tablet (optional).
🚨 Registration & Cutoff:
Because CRSO student packets and exams must be ordered early, registration closes 3 weeks before class. Once materials are ordered, no new seats can be added.
