🛡️ Course Overview:
Mining Ridge Armory is proud to offer the official NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) Certification Course, a full-day, non-shooting class led by NRA Certified Instructors.
Whether you're helping manage a private range, volunteering with a public range, or adding professional credentials to your firearms training resume, this nationally recognized course prepares you to safely supervise and operate shooting ranges.
🧠 What You’ll Learn:
- During this course, you’ll gain competency in:
- RSO roles and responsibilities
- Range standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Range inspections and safety enforcement
- Conducting range safety briefings
- Handling firearm stoppages and malfunctions
- Emergency procedures on the range
🛑 IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
To enroll, each candidate must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have or obtain a valid NRA Member ID (HIGHLY recommended before class)
- Register no later than 30 days prior to the course date to ensure training materials can be ordered in time
🔻 This course requires a minimum of 4 students. If the minimum is not met, the course will be canceled or rescheduled per NRA policy.
