The fantastic 80’s duo are playing for the first time at the Crown

THE RUBIK'S ARE

Chris James on vocals, guitar and keyboard and Lines Smith on vocals, drums and percussion, they have known each other for over 20 years.

Forming underground rock band Smutt Mutt in the 00s (on Spotify) to The Hot Red Chilis (A Chili Pepper tribute band)

After this successful period, Chris who had been involved in writing Dance Hits in the late 80s wanted to concentrate on his songwriting and Lines was busy working in Stage and TV.

It wasn't until a chance meeting 18 months ago that saw them back on stage together performing at an 80s charity event. That night The Rubiks were born, realising people just want to sing and dance to the classic 80s & 90s hits and capture back some of that magic we all had back then.

And so, in the words of The Whispers

AND THE BEAT GOES ON
