About the event

Preserving Our History with SIHA: A Recorded Conversation with Howard Brown
This month's oral history features a recording of Howard Brown. Howard first came to Stanley as a young child in the mid-1930s, when his father, Frank "Dabber" Brown, was hired as a trapper for the Biological Survey. Howard shares his memories about traveling over Galena Summit, the different places they lived, going to the Stanley School, and more. These programs are presented in partnership with the Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association (SIHA).
