First annual Obstacle Course Clinic/Competition 🤠
Are you looking for an educational clinic that will help you and your horse connect better and work through scary situations? Objective: To enhance the connection between horse and rider while navigating various obstacles in an outdoor arena. 🏆
Schedule:
Morning Session:
- Focus Areas:
- Working on the horse's front quarters and hindquarters
- Softening to the bit
- Speed control, including serpentine work and figure eights
- Working with Obstacles: Participants will practice navigating various obstacles and patterns to build confidence and connection. 🚀
Lunch break, delicious lunch provided!
Afternoon Session:
- Obstacle Work:
- Continuation of morning exercises for about an hour, focusing on obstacle navigation 🏃♂️
COMPETITION, 👏
- Each rider will have the opportunity to compete. 🏆
- Judging Criteria:
- How well the rider handles the horse
- How well the horse handles the situation
- Time taken to complete the obstacle course 🕒
- Judges: The competition will be judged by clinician Randall Shirk, Lorelle Shirk, and Bernie Stuttgen. 👨🏫
Philosophy: My method has always been simple: See obstacles not as problems, but as solutions! This applies not only to the obstacles in the course but to any challenges you face in life. 🌟

- 1st Prize: $500
- 2nd Prize: $250
- 3rd Prize: $125 💰
