Nights Out: Fabric Collage Inspired by the Cosmos

On Thursday, October 23rd, create your own cosmic-inspired textile collage in a hands-on workshop designed to accompany Fierce Planets; our current exhibition of studio art quilts and textiles themed to explore the mysteries of our universe.

Using fabric, yarn and an 8”x 8” canvas as a base, you’ll layer, arrange and attach materials with either sewing techniques or fabric glue. All supplies will be provided. You may also bring your own fabric scraps, ribbons and personal touches to incorporate into your work.

About the Facilitator:
Workshop facilitator, Chelsea, is a multidisciplinary artist and weaving instructor at Studio Andreas of Stamford, a vibrant hub for traditional crafts. A graduate of RISD, she guides students in exploring the rhythms of textile arts as both creative expression and meditative practice.
