International Meditation Workshop

What is meditation? Many answers are possible since the word “meditation” is widely used in many religious and philosophical traditions and, more recently, in science. Each tradition
will determine its meaning and its context according to their own usage. In this workshop, Lama Padma Samten will approach meditation as a method to allow mental, emotional and physical transformations taught by the Buddha. Even though this combination takes place from a Buddhist practice, silent meditation can be a contemplative practice completely stripped of any religious or philosophical character. It can be a direct experience of improvement of quality of life. Silent meditation will bring a greater balance to the body, energy and mind, leading us to experience a feeling of well-being and peace. Buddhist teacher Lama Padma Samten has helped countless people in their daily lives and relationships, with teachings that dialogue with the most diverse areas of knowledge. In 1993, he was accepted as a disciple by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche and in 1996 he was ordained lama, a Buddhist honorific title given to a spiritual leader and teacher.
