A monthly workshop dedicated to learning this lovely versatile dance.


What is Balboa?

Balboa is a lead/follow partnered swing dance originating from Southern California in the 20s & 30s

Originally danced to fast tempo music, It’s a very versatile dance that can be danced to an eclectic range of music genres , tempos , rhythms… Not just swing!


This workshop is suitable for beginners (You can be out there busting shapes after just a few lessons) and more experienced dancers, looking to develop their Balboa/bal-swing technique and repetoire.

Cost is £8 for the evening.

Where: Ryhall Village Hall PE9 4HR

When: Every first Thursday of the month

Time: 8-10pm

(Booking is appreciated but not essential)


Lead/follow roles are not gender specific. Just choose which feel rights for you.

No partner ? No problem - We rotate during class so everyone gets a chance to dance with a partner!
