Explore the instant fun and gratification of a polaroid camera!
Each participant will be provided with an instant camera to borrow and one pack of instant film.
Polaroid photography aficionado Lance Rothstein has been making instant photos since before 2008. He’ll bring a table-full of Polaroid cameras from his personal collection and guide you through the fun process of making Polaroid Pictures.
~ Lance will discuss the history of Polaroid, show some examples by famous photographers, and images from his tour of the Polaroid Factory in the Netherlands.
~ He’ll discuss the different types of instant cameras and films currently available, and those lost to the past.
~ Each participant will be provided with an instant camera to borrow and one pack of instant film.
~ We’ll have a quick instruction session on how to get the best results from your film & camera, along with some creative tips.
~ Everyone will have about 45min to take all their pictures on a guided photo walk with advice if needed.
~ Digital pictures can also be used to make real Polaroid Pictures with my Instant Labs
~ We’ll return to the room and share our images and discuss the experience.
All materials provided but feel free to bring your own instant camera or films if you like.
$70
A $15 materials fee will cover one pack of instant film and the use of an instant camera of your choice during the workshop. Extra film will also be available for purchase.
