ANIMA MUNDI: Aquarius Full Moon Ecstatic Dance
What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is an ancient practice with modern modalities that invites participants to release expectations around what we “should” look like on the dance floor, allowing space to explore the depths of the inner self through rhythm, emotion, and authentic expression.
The music at an ecstatic dance follows the structure of Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms; starts slow, builds up to a climax and ends in stillness.
The guidelines create a specific container of non-judgement and respect for self and others.
In order to create this container, here are the guidelines:
- Doors close at 7pm. No entry after the opening circle.
- No talking on the dance floor. There are designated areas to hang out and talk outside the dance floor.
- No pictures or videos during the dance.
- Non-verbal consent specified to dance with another.
- No substance use on the dancefloor*
*Our space does not require sobriety. Respectful and intentional engagement with substances and using principles of harm-reduction is welcomed, as long as it is not disrupting anyone else’s experience. In such a case, the facilitators reserve the right to remove any individual causing disruption and/or harm.
If you are going to engage with substances, consider what brings you more into presence and lucidity in your body instead of dissociation.

Theme
This dance will take place during an Aquarius Full Moon in Leo season.
Our theme this month is Anima Mundi which means the World Soul.
The energy of this dance will have an intention of connecting to the Aquarius archetype of collective consciousness. Bringing awareness to the animate, living world that we live in and what it means to be an active member of this cosmic web.
Somatic Movement Practice
Shake Rising is a transformational movement practice utilizing fitness, dance, shaking and affirmations to invite 3 intentions into fruition.
Activate our life force energy through focused attention
Repattern our subconscious mind through repetitive affirmations
Regulate our nervous system through shaking the whole body
This practice ultimately aims to liberate us from mindsets and systems of oppression.
The Space
Harmonic Graffiti is an art collective that curates and cultivates the best and brightest of the Bay Area. They specialize in Live Music, Art Exhibitions, and immersive events.
The dance will take place in a beautiful warehouse gallery & event space in the middle of Saint Pete’s art district.
About the DJ
Serpentine Salua is an ecstatic dance DJ who weaves tribal and indigenous rhythms with electronic downtempo beats to create immersive, alchemical sound journeys. Born and raised in Colombia, her music is deeply inspired by her ancestral roots and the spirit of the land that raised her.
With several years of experience facilitating ceremonies with cacao and other sacred plant medicines, Salua approaches music, sound, and movement as sacred tools for transformation. She sees each set as a ceremonial offering—an invitation to explore the depths of the inner self through rhythm, emotion, and authentic expression.
Salua believes in the profound healing power of music to bring balance, integration, acceptance, and inspiration. Her intention is to guide listeners through evolving soundscapes that stir emotion and serve as elixirs for the soul.
Her musical palette is influenced by artists such as Mose, Poranguí, Savej, Of The Trees, Liquid Bloom, and many more whose work bridges ancient wisdom with modern sound.

Rhythmic Rites is a collective passionate about bringing the ancient into modern living with different modalities. We curate connection experiences through ceremony, events, classes, workshops and art. We explore rituals of passage with a particular focus on archetypal influences, cyclical living, nature-relatedness, womb healing and bridging spirituality into practical, daily life.
This month's hosts are Kaylee Davis (Dance facilitation), Alexandra Mars (Shake Rising), Salua Rivero (DJ set).
This will be a monthly ecstatic dance, with the intention of building a solid, consistent community gathering for people to come to when they need to release, express and simply just exist.
