GOVERNOR WALZ: YOU CAN’T “POSTPONE” JUSTICE FOR PALESTINE

Trump and Israel are starving and annexing Gaza. Even some of Israel’s closest allies are now cutting off the flow of weapons to what they finally acknowledge is a genocide. With Trump’s federal government poised to back Israel to the genocidal end, it’s time for Minnesota to act.
Unfortunately, the State Board of Investment, chaired by Governor Walz, has chosen to postpone its quarterly meeting until at least October rather than hear the growing public call for divestment. This marks the fourth SBI meeting in a row to be postponed or canceled altogether. An estimated $5.4 billion in state-managed pensions and public funds remain invested in the State of Israel, weapons manufacturers and other companies complicit in apartheid and genocide.
Join us to tell Walz that it’s now inevitable: Minnesota will divest from Israel, just like it divested from apartheid South Africa in 1985. The question is only whether divestment will come in time to make a difference. We urge our elected officials to seize this opportunity and make the North Star State a bold, moral leader in the fight against Trump and Israel’s apocalyptic agenda.
