ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
Join Jill and David for a deeply restorative Winter Solstice Sound Healing Journey honoring the return of the light as part of our final Rhythms of Wellness workshop in 2025. This special evening invites you to release the energies of the past year and open your heart to renewal as we cross the threshold into a new season.
You'll begin with group drumming to awaken rhythm and build connection. Then, the evening unfolds into an immersive journey of sound featuring Crystal Tones® Alchemy Singing Bowls, the rich overtones of the Grotta Sonora gong, monochord, toning, and other sacred instruments that invite deep rest and transformation. With Jill’s skills as a Reiki Master, Reiki will naturally flow through the music.
As the longest night gives way to the returning light, we’ll journey inward, resting in stillness, receiving healing vibrations, and awakening to clarity and inspiration for the new year.
Bring a yoga mat, pillow, blanket, or anything that will make you feel comfortable resting on the floor.

About the instructors:
Jill and David blend music, energy work, and spirituality to create deeply personal and transformative sound healing experiences they call Acoustic Ambient. Their work is rooted in advanced sound healing and Reiki, supported by decades of experience in holistic education and spiritual practice. Both are dedicated students of Tibetan Buddhism, which deeply influences their approach to mindfulness, compassion, and the healing power of sound.
David grew up in South Minneapolis, where he occupied first chair clarinet in the high school band. As a teenager, he switched to the electric guitar and later to bass guitar and electronic music. Throughout the decades he’s maintained a connection to music, playing in bands and developing skills in music production. His diverse experience and disparate skills in music, design, and spirituality came together to support the evolution of Minnesota Sound Healing.
Jill spent many years as a massage educator at The Aveda Institute and is now a board-certified educator through NTCMB. She’s the owner and founder of The Minnesota Reiki Center, and is a director and Licensed Reiki Master Teacher with the International Center for Reiki Training. She grew up playing piano, flute, and oboe, eventually focusing on singing and vocal toning. When Jill was guided to add crystal singing bowls to her Reiki practice, the introduction of sound healing provided the opportunity for her and David to collaborate musically. They created arrangements with an ever-expanding array of acoustic instruments and have developed a unique sound experience in the process.
Over time the amount of interest they received in sound healing led to the development of a class curriculum and new business, Minnesota Sound Healing. They now offer sound healing classes, sound healing sessions and events. They also sell Crystal Tones® Alchemy singing bowls and offer a singing bowl class.

Getting there and accessibility:
Please be prepared to remove your street shoes at the door. You're welcome to bring slippers or non-street shoes to change into upon arrival. We also have a limited supply of clean socks available to borrow. Our no-street shoe policy is designed to protect our new floor for posterity.
Our center is located in the basement of the Dow Building; it is accessed by one flight of stairs.
