At age 11, Ben Abrahamson found his path set ablaze by guitar heroes Paco de Lucía, Leo Kottke, Ralph Towner, and his first guitar teacher, Gary Lee Joyner.
Abrahamson is a fresh, dynamic voice on the acoustic guitar. His compositions evoke the dexterity of flamenco and the harmonic storytelling of jazz. He has studied with flamenco guitarists Juan Ramón Caro at Taller de Músics in Barcelona, Pedro Cortés, Jr., and Michael Hauser.
Ben has shared the stage with gospel artists Billy Steele and Tonia Hughes Kendrick, fingerstylist Tim Sparks, and Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre, and is currently a faculty member at MacPhail Center for Music.
