The Mazin is a regional juried annual Art Exhibition of 2-D and 3-D art, open to any artist in the United States 16 years or older. The exhibit is designed to foster an appreciation of today’s visual art and to reflect the breadth of creative vision of artists. The long-running bi-annual exhibit, created by Bernice and Benjamin Mazin and funded by the Mazin Visual Arts Fund, is making a call for entries to any artist working with any medium.

🎨 Meet our juror, Claudia Hammer!
Claudia Hammer’s career started in advertising first working at several noted retail stores designing layouts and fashion illustration, then moved on to design firms and advertising agencies in Louisville KY and Chicago IL. At the same time she practiced with others the art of figure drawing in the evenings and on weekends. After leaving the advertising world she has devoted her time to fine art. She has studied academic drawing at the Florence Academy of Art, Florence Italy, costume history and fashion illustration at Parsons School of Design, Paris, France, as well as classes at American Academy of Art, Chicago IL, Chicago Art Institute, Chicago IL, Louisville School of Art, Louisville, KY, to name a few. She currently teaches Life Drawing for LVA and has taught Plaster Cast Drawing, Academic Drawing, Sight size drawing, Portrait Painting in oil or pastel, and Figure painting. Currently lives in Louisville KY.
