Takes a revealing look as to why 18 year old Michael Brown Jr and his family were denied their day in Court after he was tragically shot to death by police officer Darren Wilson on August 9, 2014 in Ferguson, MO. Told by those closest to both sides of the events surrounding this case, come see why esteemed scholar of African-American history stated the movie is “A Major Contribution” to the movement and cinema. It tells the story of the 2014 fatal shooting of Michael Brown Jr. It covers both points of view. It will be released in 2024. Which marks the ten year "angelversary" of Michael Brown Jr's death. I shared the rough cut, that I finished on July 3 with a person who works at the MO History Museum in St Louis. He was the right hand researcher for Harvard Professor Walter Johnson as he wrote his 2020 book, "The Broken Heart of America: St Louis and the Violent History of the United States." His text back to me and his reaction to the movie: "In short. The most important piece of work on what Ferguson actually is". It was as if I read a glowing review of the movie in the NYT. Not to stroke my ego. But to assure me, that we executed on our plan and we can continue to fight another day to take the story on a journey. Where it ends. Who knows.
