Join us for a day filled with joy, community, and delicious pies and Urban (African) Comfort Food! On Sunday, May 24 through 26, 2025, we are hosting an exciting food at Forest Park to raise funds for the Black Power Blueprint. Make a difference and be a part of something special. Uhuru Foods & Pies is part of a black self-determination project that is anti-colonial. It is bringing an economy to our own African community of North St Louis!

We are bringing people together of all nationalities who want to celebrate and uplift the Black community. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to community service, everyone is welcome to join us.

Throughout the day, we will be working together in the Uhuru food booth to distribute mouthwatering sausages, cheesesteaks, fries and pies!

Be prepared to meet new friends, share laughs, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the African Arts Festival. This event is an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact.

So mark your calendars for Saturday, Sunday and Monday May 24 - 26, 2025, beginning early morning till sunset! We can't wait to see you get the experience of African Arts from "behind the scenese" and participate in a day filled with joy, unity, and of course, mouthwatering "Urban" African Comfort Food.

SHIFTS:

• 8am-1pm
• 12pm-5pm
• 3 pm - 8 pm

Once you sign up, we will contact you to find out what shift you would like to do! THANK YOU! Join us at the World's Fair Pavilion for a day of giving back and celebrating African arts! Each person who volunteers for 4 hours or more gets a complimentary meal.
