O'Fallon Park Rec Complex
4343 West Florissant Avenue, St. Louis, United States
On May 16, an EF3 tornado traveled 23 miles across the St. Louis area, killing five and injuring 38. Over 5,000 buildings were destroyed, and the damage is estimated at more than $1.6 billion.
Join Nine PBS for a powerful community town hall centering the voices of those impacted by the tornado. Experience real stories of loss, resilience, and recovery. Learn how local leaders, including Mayor Cara Spencer, have responded, and how they’re planning for the future. Together, we’ll reflect, heal, and ask: What happens when the next disaster hits?
This event will be recorded live. Watch it on Nine PBS Monday, August 25 at 7:00 pm or anytime on the PBS App and YouTube.
**The event will include opportunities for live audience questions and feedback. While we may be unable to address every question during the program, all submitted questions will be shared with the mayor or the appropriate city leaders to ensure every concern is acknowledged.
Tornado Town Hall: Your Voice. Our Future. is a special event and broadcast by Nine PBS. We are excited to partner with the Gateway Regional YMCA for our event and venue. Beyond being an important community center, the O'Fallon Park Rec Complex was the site of the People's Response 2025, a grassroots relief effort focused on the North and West sides of St. Louis. We are grateful to Action St. Louis, For The Culture STL, and the YMCA for spearheading this response and allowing us to show up in the community with them.
Please note event terms and conditions: Ticket is valid only for the event date and time listed on the ticket. Every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter.
