Hosted in the stunning 15th floor offices of Husch Blackwell in Clayton, this series delivers timely research, economic data, and strategic dialogue around the industries propelling St. Louis forward.

As artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven technologies redefine the workplace, the St. Louis Metro is at a critical crossroads. How can we prepare workers—not just to adapt—but to lead in this new era of innovation?

This session will unpack the regional strategies, public-private partnerships, and education-to-career pipelines being developed to close the skills gap and expand equitable access to high-growth tech occupations. From AI adoption to apprenticeship models, learn how St. Louis is working to future-proof its workforce while centering inclusion, resilience, and long-term growth. We will explore efforts taking shape in both Missouri and Illinois, to consider how the MSA should be preparing for the next wave of tech skill demand for building a workforce of the future.

The Husch Blackwell office is located at 8001 Forsyth Blvd, Suite 1500, St. Louis, MO, 63105. Upon entering the parking garage at Forsyth Pointe, please pull a ticket and park on an upper level (levels 2-5). Once parked, enter the elevator bank marked “8001 Forsyth” and proceed to the building Lobby to check in with Security. Once Security grants you access, please proceed to the 15th floor where you will be greeted at Husch Blackwell reception, and your parking ticket will be validated.
