Originally from East St. Louis, Rod’s soulful sax style was shaped under the mentorship of Ronald Carter and honed through decades in Nashville’s vibrant music scene—including a 20-year residency at B.B. King’s Blues Club. He’s opened for B.B. King and performed alongside icons like Lee Oskar and Tony Coleman. Now back in the St. Louis area, Rod brings his expressive, melodic sound to new audiences, blending groove and emotion in every note.
