Hello friends! To celebrate our friend Iker Sanchez Silva's brief visit from the beautiful Spanish city of Donostia-San Sebastian, we are hosting a special St. Louis style performance for the renowned artist and orchestral conductor!

Iker will be joined by Danny Pankratz on guitar and myself on synthesizer.
Damon Smith and Eric Hall will be performing solo, both absolute legends! Should be an amazing show!
Iker Sanchez Silva studied at the conservatories of San Sebastián, Bordeaux, and Munich. He has conducted a wide range of orchestras across Europe, including the Basque National Orchestra, Bilbao Symphony, Catalonia National, Asturias Symphony, Tenerife, Oporto, Bayonne-Côte Basque, City of Pamplona, National Orchestra of Montenegro, Concentus Alius Berlin, Oviedo Filarmonía, and the Humboldt University Orchestra of Berlin. He currently serves as the musical and artistic director of BilbaoSinfonietta and as musical director of the opera company Opus Lírica.
Iker has conducted major operatic works as well as two recent premieres in the Basque language: Bigarren Sexua by Asier Li and Arrosa Xuriaren Artean by Francisco Domínguez, the latter recognized with a Musika Bulegoa Award. His recent recording Falla 1915 with BilbaoSinfonietta and María Toledo (IBSClassics) received the Melómano de Oro and was nominated for the International Classical Music Award (ICMA).
Also, a visual artist, he is currently a resident artist at the Luminary, and will be presenting an exhibition titled “Lilik” at The Blue Hour (3410 Wisconsin Ave) opening on August 1st.
