​Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, Bugonia is a remake of the 2003 South Korean film ‘Save The Planet’. The title Bugonia refers to a myth about bees emerging from a dead ox. A bee keeper Teddy, played by the Academy Award nominee Jesse Plemons, is devastated by the progressive loss of the honeybee population and blaming this on an eco-violent pharmaceutical company headed by its CEO Michelle (played by the Academy Award winner Emma Stone). And so two conspiracy-obsessed men kidnap the CEO when they become convinced that she's an alien prepared to destroy Earth. Also starring Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.
