A Sudden Glimpse to Deeper Things - a 2024 British documentary film, directed by Irish film maker Mark Cousins (The Eyes Of Orson Wells). The film profiles the life and career of Scottish painter Wilhelmina Barns-Graham (1912– 2004), one of the foremost abstract artists, a member of the influential Penwith Society of Arts led by Barbara Hepworth and Ben Nicholson. Influenced by Paul Klee and the expressionists, her most significant innovation derived from the ideas of Naum Gabo, who was interested in the principle of stereometry – defining forms in terms of space rather than mass.
