St. John's Players is holding open auditions for their Fall 2025 production of "Hay Fever" by Noel Coward, to be performed in St. John's October 9th - 11th at the Barbara Barrett Theatre. This production will be directed by Melissa Ralph.
St. John's Players is a community theatre organization - all cast and crew participation is on a volunteer basis. Interested crew are also welcome to drop by and express interest - we are especially looking for a dedicated stage manager.
Auditions will be held in the 2nd Floor East Studio at the Arts & Culture Centre. Follow posted signage to find the room.

Rehearsals will take place from September 2nd - October 5th, two-three times per week depending on the roles required. All performers and crew must be available for tech week and performances October 5th - 11th.
"Hay Fever" is a classic farce meets comedy of manners by Noel Coward. It takes place at a country estate when four eccentric and theatrical family members invite four guests to stay for the weekend.
Casting for the following roles:
Judith Bliss (40s-60s): A retired actress, prone to dramatic pronouncements and emotional outbursts.
David Bliss (40s-60s): Judith's husband, a novelist, who also enjoys the theatricality of life.
Sorel Bliss (20s-30s): Judith and David's daughter, also prone to dramatic behavior, but with a desire for self-improvement.
Simon Bliss (20s-30s): Judith and David's son, who enjoys creating caricatures of others and is known for his sarcastic wit.
Myra Arundel (30s-40s): A sophisticated and worldly guest
Richard Greatham (30s-40s): A diplomat who is initially reserved but has a passionate inner nature.
Jackie Coryton (20s-30s): A young, naive guest
Sandy Tyrell (20s-40s): An athletic and animated guest, who is described as a "boxer in his prime".
Clara (40s-60s): The Bliss family's housekeeper, known for her loud and somewhat messy presence.
