It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years since we held our first ever Suicide Awareness Walk. In observance of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th, Distress Centre Niagara will be holding our 20th Annual Suicide Awareness Walk. The purpose of this fundraising event is to support individuals that have been impacted by suicide, to increase awareness in our community of this difficult subject and to help us raise important funds that allow us to continue to offer our 24/7 telephone and online chat and text support programs to anyone in need.
This year's walk will take place on Wednesday September 10th at Market Square in downtown St. Catharines (91 King St).
Registration will begin at 6:00pm with the event starting at 7:00pm.
This all ages event is open to the public. All are welcome. Please help us get the word out by sharing the event information with others.
