Guided walk

Would you like to find out more about the historical importance of the beautiful Tregargus Valley and its significance in the china stone industry. The Tregargus Trust is running a guided walk in the Valley on Saturday 27 September 2025 looking at the industrial history of the area.

Duration: The walk normally takes 2-3 hours. We are mainly walking on paths and tracks some of which can be uneven and muddy so decent footwear is advisable. The terrain is a bit up and down with a steep slope partway through the walk.

Meeting place: Meet in the community centre car park where there is plenty of room to park.

Meeting time: 10.00

Clothing: Please dress according to the weather. Waterproofs for the wet; sunhat/suncream if the sun is out. Please bring plenty of fluids if it's hot and sunny. Long trousers are advisable even on a sunny day as there may be places where we walk through low undergrowth.

Children: Any participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dogs: Any accompanying dogs must be kept on a lead

Fees: We normally ask for a donation. Typically participants offer £5 per head but of course this is up to you. All the funds go towards our work in the valley which is managed by the Tregargus Trust, a small group of local volunteers.
