Join us for an afternoon of new songs from some new voices! This Emerging Songwriters Circle will feature a crop of emerging local musicians who have begun to dedicate more of their time to crafting songs and performing them live. The SONGWRITER CIRCLE format gives the audience a chance to experience 4 artists in one show! They will each perform a number of songs filling you in on where they have come from and how the fit into the artists’ musical journey.
CLAIRA BLANCHARD is a young emerging local singer-songwriter with a talent for crafting heartfelt lyrics and memorable melodies. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and a range of musical influences including Joni Mitchell, Rose Cousins, and James Taylor, she is steadily building a sound that reflects her unique voice and perspective. Claira first captured hearts when she had the opportunity to perform with Rose Cousins at PaddleFest 2023. She has since gone on to open for Chris Kirby (August 2024) & perform as a part of an opening set for Stephen Lewis at the Fredericton Playhouse (Jan. 2025).
JACOB ROSE a dynamic folk-rock singer-songwriter, blends the rugged spirit of Alberta with the coastal charm of New Brunswick. Brimming with heartfelt hope, melancholy, and grit, his warm demeanor and powerful voice are enticing and welcoming. His music, formed by both rural and urban landscapes, captivates with its unforgettable melodies and raw folk essence. In 2023, co-wrote and performed on the Tuckersfield single, “Wharfbound”, featuring ear-catching melodies and mellifluous harmonies. “Wharfbound” has garnered a strong local following and plays on CBC Radio. In 2024, Jacob released his own rendition which has seen a resurgence in popularity and Spotify playlist placements.
CHARLOTTE BARTLETT: A marine scientist by day, Charlotte uses her love of the ocean and the natural world around her to inspire her honest and introspective songwriting, crafting songs filled with themes of Love, Empathy and Optimism. With her warm voice and gentle playing style, Charlotte creates a comforting presence whenever she performs.

SHAWN RICHARD: Shawn Richard is a Canadian born and raised Country Artist who has been performing since a young age. Stemming from an exceptionally large musical family, he has performed in the surrounding communities at every benefit, festival and church concert over the years. You can find Shawn’s music on any streaming platform; however, he has recently been signed to a Development Deal with SSM Nashville Records on Music Row in Nashville, TN, taking Shawn’s music career on a new journey. Shawn’s sound varies in a wide range of genres when performing shows, but his original work lies within the country music genre. Charlotte County is where Shawn calls home.
