The first ever Double Trouble tournament will be held at Ten Pin Lanes on May 31, 2025 starting at 10am.
This doubles tournament, with no restrictions on pairings, will see duos bowl under 5 different scoring styles as part of qualifying.
Each duo will bowl 2 regular games with each bowler's full handicap pins applied
Each duo will bowl 2 Low Ball games where the goal is to score as low as possible without guttering! A gutter on your first shot will become a strike, and a gutter on your second shot will become a spare. Each bowler's handicap pins will be deducted from their score here
Each duo will bowl 2 9-pin No-Tap games with each bowler's full handicap pins applied.
Each duo will bowl 4 baker games, where bowler's will alternate frames. The total handicap of the duo will be added up and divided by 2, then applied to the score of each baker game
Each duo will bowl 4 Scotch Baker Games, where bowler's will alternate shots. The total handicap of the duo will be added up and divided by 2, then applied to the score of each baker game
Scores will be maxed at 300
Teams will be scored and ranked based off the amount of teams/duos they beat under each scoring style. The number of teams you beat is the number of points you earn.
Matchplay will be single-elimination with the scoring style for each round randomly selected for that round. Matches will consists of one full round (2 full games or 4 baker games)
Under 32 entries: Top 4 make Matchplay
Over 33 entries: Top 8 make Matchplay.
Cost will be $60 per bowler/$120 per Duo
The tournament will be contested on Ten Pin's house shot
Handicap will be based off of 220 and be awarded based off your highest book average (min. 21 games)
All USBC rules will be followed
1:8 will cash
