If you ever dreamt of going to pony club camp as a child but never got the opportunity or sent your kids off to their camps with a twinge of envy, guess what?

NOW IT'S YOUR TURN! People come back year in year out. I've seen them start without a jump in their pony and now they're off having amazing adventures all over the place!

Our philosophy is that no one is perfect and that everyone is trying the very best they can to improve themselves and their horses.

Come to camp and meet people like you, who put the horse first and the sport second 🙂

1.You will progress in jumping and/or flatwork.
2.Gain more confidence than you ever thought possible.
3.Meet some of the most incredible people and make long lasting friendships
4. Have an awesome time; just you, your horse, no kids, no cooking, no being taxi service, just fun, laughter and massive achievement!

All levels welcome, we have groups for everyone.

About ECSW:
Our first camp was is 2014 and with the exception of 2024, we've run several every year at various venues. This year will have been given the priviledge of using Goonbell Riding Centre and our horses are going to be corralled in the field. Big changes for us but having lost so many venues we want to support those that are still going. And Goonbell may not have an XC course but it does have an indoor school and a field we can ride in!

We've had over 1000 people come to our camps. No matter what level you ride at, everyone should have that chance to come to pony camp for adults!

From the start, a very strict policy was laid down. No judgement allowed. No talking about people or their horses. No comments made at the side of the ring. Everyone is encouraged to support each other.

Don't take our word for it, read the reviews. https://www.facebook.com/pg/EquestrianCampsSW/reviews/

The camp is fully catered from cooked breakfasts to cottage pie and Lorraine’s signature dish Lasagne.
We arrive on the first afternoon/evening, set up the corrals and settle the horses, pitch the tent, then share Pizza and catch up with friends. THEN we have two more days of fun 🙂 2 hours of tuition a day in groups of four with very experienced instructors who have been very carefully selected for you.

All Food provided for you, haylage and grazing is provided for the horses.

You will need to bring electric fence posts and tape to create a pen for your horse (maximum of 10 meters x 10 meters) and an energiser to electrify the fence. Water containers and buckets and a tub trug or trough to feed hay from. The corners of your pen will be marked out for you when you get there and there will be a post with you name on it. Your horses will be corralled next to the other horses in your group. Please keep away from the hedges and each other by leaving at least 2-3 meters between each pen. You may move them for more grass but please don't make them bigger. The pens will be inside a secure field.

We do ask everyone to bring something sweet to share, preferable in individually sealed packets or in a resealable container.

Camping is in your own tents/caravans in the car park, please use the grass verges for tents and don't park vehicles on the grass. There is a toilet and water tap on on the yard.

If you don't have your own horse you can hire one from Goonbell at an extra cost of £60.00 a day. However, you must book an assessment lesson before hand so that she can chose a suitable horse for you. These horses will be kept with their herd at night and in their own stable during the day.

4 hours of instruction over the two days in the indoor school which will be split into two for your initial assessment lesson. After that we will use the indoor school and the field on the other side of the road. Your instructor will escort you from the yard to the field.

It will be groups of 4 for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon both days which means you will get more individual attention but I hope this won't stop you from connecting with each other like you always do! I know group bonds become very strong at camp 😍

The camps own catering van will supply all of the food and there will be tables and chairs outside under gazebos or you are welcome to eat in the gallery of the indoor school if the weather is rubbish! Tea, coffee, milk, juice and sweet treats will be in the indoor (please don't disturb the lesson that's going on but do feel free to stay and watch - excellent learning opportunity!)

Anyone with any food allergies or wishing to have a vegetarian option MUST let us know at time of booking. All campers are asked to bring something sweet to share please 🙂

Visitors to camp may attend by invite only as having lots of people watching the lessons can be distracting for the riders. They are welcome to help themselves to beverages and we will be happy to feed them too if they're willing to pay a charge for all meals.

Alcohol Please supply your own if you if you are over 18. Under 18s may not drink and anyone supplying anyone under age with drink will be asked to leave & will not receive a refund. Any adult who behaves irresponsibly and inconsiderately towards others will also be asked to leave and not be refunded.
