Join Lydia Gagnon and Nicki McKeon in Downtown Squamish for a beautiful afternoon dedicated to the weaving of local Indigenous Plant knowledge and the ancient, land-based wisdom of Ayurvedic Medicine.
Lydia is a yoga teacher and a member of the Squamish Nation. She has learned the traditional practices of her people and the medicines of her territories and is a skilled teacher.
Nicki is a yoga teacher, ayurvedic medicine practitioner and a hiking guide. She uses traditional ayurvedic principles and herbs to create individualised medicines and self care practices.
We'll begin our journey with opening song and drumming, and a medicine walk through local trails, discovering the healing plants in bloom this season and learning their stories. We'll then return to Spirit School, and use some of these gifts in our own facials and skincare with products from Skwalwen Botanicals. These will be thoughtfully enhanced with Ayurvedic principles and familiar herbs you might already have at home that allow us to tailor the offering to our own unique body and mind types.
With renewed skin and nourished souls, we'll gently transition into restorative yoga, inviting deep rest and gratitude. We'll conclude our time together by giving thanks through song once again.
Please bring an item special to you to place on our community altar.
