You're invited to come to the Sunday Concert Series presentation of Mitchell Sturges on Sunday, September 21st, 2025 at 4:30 pm in the Grand Gallery of the Springville Museum of Art. This concert is FREE to the public.
Hailed with “honest” and “transparently clean” singing, tenor Mitchell Sturges, has gained recognition for “stellar and inspired performances,” leaving audiences “entertained and edified.” He was recently named Artist-in-Residence at St. James Episcopal Church in Midvale, UT, giving recitals that highlight new works and are noted for their innovative programming. Mitchell is known for his commitment to exploring and performing a vast array of song repertoire, with a special passion for 20th & 21st century American song – has been presented in recital in London, Vienna, and around the United States. Mr. Sturges made his international début singing Don Basilio in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro in Vienna, Austria where he performed for 3 years. A consummate concert & opera artist, he has been featured throughout Austria, Ohio, Kentucky, and the American Southwest performing the works of Bach, Bernstein, Britten, Dvořák, Händel, Haydn, Menotti, Mozart, Orff, Puccini, Rossini, Saint-Saëns, and Schubert with Arizona Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Lutherische Stadtkirche, Musica Sacra-Cincinnati, Bach Ensemble of St. Thomas, Collegium Cincinnati, Tucson Masterworks Chorale, and Southwest Symphony Orchestra.
