Trees of Springfield Armory: A Guided Tour

ReGreen Springfield, in collaboration with the National Park Service, presents a two-part course that introduces you to 15 historic trees at the Springfield Armory National Historic Site, and a chance to make history.

– Receive world-class instruction on tree identification basics; how to read leaves, bark, flowers, buds, form, and common landscape uses.

– Experience an in-person tour of the Springfield Armory through the lens of horticulturalists who tell the story of the historic landscape through trees.

– Make history! At the end of our tour, attendees will have the chance to plant a tree together at the Springfield Armory site, preserving the landscape for future generations.
