Mystery of the Sabbats 2025: Celebration of Lughnasadh

This celebration is part of the Mystery of the Sabbats 2025 series crafted by Coven of the Mystic Path, ASW. The underpinning theme this year is self-empowerment and cultivating and awakening the innate power and strength we have to overcome challenge and revel in the joys of success.

Lammas is the celebration of the First Harvest as we begin to look toward, and prepare for, the dark half of the year. This is the time when the God is sacrificed to ensure a bountiful harvest. The death of the God represents the waning of the Sun as we begin to notice the days growing shorter. Lammas is also a time of gratitude and reflection. We are grateful for our First Harvest and reflect on the work we have done and assess what might be needed for continued success.

The focus of our Work will be a celebration of the God Lugh, a solar deity who is a master craftsman, warrior, and king and the awakening of our skills and talents. Our skills are what makes us special and serve as a source of empowerment.
