ABOUT THE PRESENTER

JoAnn Christie, MSLD, GPC, is a dedicated grants and fundraising leader who has worked to advance philanthropy by securing and managing impactful funding for nonprofits, including k-12 education, behavioral health, hospice, and healthcare. She excels at building strong relationships with donors and community partners, developing strategic grant initiatives, and ensuring compliance and stewardship to maximize the effectiveness of philanthropic investments.
Throughout her career, she has successfully overseen multi-million-dollar grant portfolios, developed strategic grant monitoring systems, and led cross-functional teams to enhance fundraising and program outcomes. Passionate about the power of collaboration and servant leadership, she strives to ensure a culture of gratitude through giving.
In her current role as Director of Grants and Organizational Giving for Bon Secours Mercy Health, she oversees all grant activity for Mercy Health-Springfield and Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH. She is a mentor with the Clark State Scholars Program and is a former AFP Board member.
