Eviction Court: A Right to Counsel Community Learn-In

Every year, thousands of Springfield, MO families face eviction court — most without a lawyer by their side. What does that mean for our neighbors, and what would change if every tenant facing eviction had a Right to Counsel?

At our September 27th event, we will:

*Watch mock eviction trials that show what court looks like with and without legal representation
*Learn how a Right to Counsel could make Springfield more fair, stable, and just
*Volunteer to step into the role of a tenant in our mock trial and experience what eviction court feels like firsthand
*Connect with neighbors and take action to bring this policy to life in our city
