Canning is a safe and fun hobby, and preserving the summer abundance is so satisfying! And, there's no need to limit yourself to pickling cucumbers - a whole world of pickled vegetables awaits.
Learn modern techniques & take home a jar of pickles to enjoy at home! We'll demonstrate every step of the canning process, and you'll also receive a handout with tested and approved recipes and safe canning guidelines so you can feel confident canning on your own at home.
In this workshop, you'll learn about:
- The science of canning and how to do it safely
- Tested recipes for both shelf-stable and refrigerator pickles.
- How to safely customize recipe ingredients to suit your own taste
Participants will take home a jar of pickles and a detailed handout!
