Due to an uptick in lyme disease cases in our region, and at the request of many constituents, Senator Bill Weber is hosting an important Lyme Disease Awareness & Tick Prevention Forum to equip parents, camp counselors, and the public with essential information to prevent and respond to tick-borne illnesses such as lyme disease. Experts will share current data, best practices, and practical tools to protect families and children this summer.

Why:
With local camps in session and outdoor activity at its peak, raising awareness about ticks and lyme disease is more important than ever. This forum will provide parents, camp staff and community members with the tools and knowledge they need to help keep kids safe this summer and beyond.
Free tick removal tools and tick combs will be provided courtesy of Senator Weber, along with educational lyme disease brochures and children’s activity books. The event is free and open to the public.
