Please join the Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg along with the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce to honor the finalists and recipients of the 2025 ATHENA on the Lakeshore Awards.
Our Keynote Speaker for the event is Brianna T. Scott, of Brianna T. Scott & Associates, PLLC. Attorney/Entrepreneur Brianna T. Scott was born & raised in Muskegon, Michigan. She received her B.A. from Michigan State University, graduating from the Eli Broad College of Business and Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School. After graduating from law school, she was hired as the FIRST African American Assistant Prosecutor in the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s office and in 2005 opened her law firm, Brianna T. Scott & Associates, PLLC, in Muskegon, Michigan. She also remains dually licensed to practice law in New York.
A testament to the high regard placed on Ms. Scott for her professional accomplishments, ethical standards and peer recognition, Ms. Scott was named a 2019 Athena of the Lakeshore Award Recipient and 2021 Greater Muskegon Woman’s Club Woman of Accomplishment and the 2022 Living Legend Award from the Muskegon YBP. In 2014, she became the FIRST person of color to serve as President of the prestigious Muskegon Rotary Club. She recently served as the Rotary International District 6290 Governor for 2024-25, with regional responsibilities covering Rotary Club in parts of Michigan and Canada.
Ms. Scott is the Immediate Past President of the Muskegon Heights Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and serves on the Boards for the Boys & Girl’s Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore and Panel One of the Michigan Attorney Disciplinary Commission (County of Muskegon). In the past she has served on the following boards: Access Health, United Way of the Lakeshore, Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and Family Services Center Workforce Development Center. Additionally, she serves as Legal Counsel for the International Churches of God In Christ, which is the largest African American church in the world.

Global and National Awards are given by ATHENA International. Recipient nominations are voted and approved by the ATHENA International Board of Directors.
Community Awards are given by local organizations with membership to ATHENA International. Recipient nominations are voted and approved by the local communities. ATHENA on the Lakeshore is a program of the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and The Chamber Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg.
