Come on out to support Blitz & Blunders and Spark Central! Blitz & Blunders is hosting a community chess event at Manito Park's North Shelter. This is your open invitation to play a game, join a lesson, and purchase merchandise. All skill levels are welcome, and funds from this event will go toward supporting free Monday chess nights around Spokane, and Spark Central's mission to spark creativity for all.
Blitz & Blunders is teaming up with Spark Central to bring free, high-energy chess events to the community. Spark Central empowers youth, adults, and underserved groups through creativity, tech, and education. Together, we’re building a space where minds meet, creativity thrives, and everyone has a chance to grow through play.
The event will include free casual chess games for all ages and skill levels, along with mini tournaments and side matches for prizes. Coffee and Matcha will be available to purchase from Kapè Cha.
Sunday, August 24, 4-8pm, at the North Shelter in Manito Park, 1702 South Grand Boulevard Spokane, WA, 99203.
